Cairngorm Tours

Welcome to Cairngorm Tours. Our location is just outside Aberdeen on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park, a short drive away from Royal Deeside, the highland getaway for the British Royal Family. We offer tours all over Scotland but we love what’s on our doorstep and it happens to be worth sharing with our guests from all around the world. What we like is that there are so many less well known hidden gems in this area. As your tour guide I hope to show you it’s all right here waiting for you in Aberdeenshire, where the mountains meet the sea.

WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU

We offer private guided tours around Cairngorm National Park Royal Deeside and elsewhere in Aberdeenshire. We love to share our knowledge of the local area, not just the facts and figures but the real stories, that’s what really gets us excited. We also like to explore, we will quite happily take you on a walk or gentle stroll along the river or into the wilderness of the Cairngorm mountains so you can experience the real depth of the area.

We also offer whisky tours so if you want to get a real taste of the Highlands enquire about what we can offer. Or how about we take you down to the coast to meet a local fisherman and try the local lobster. Or if you want to visit an old Castle we have over 250 in the north east corner of Scotland, we are not exactly short of them.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMER SAY

Exceptional in every way! From Neil’s warm, welcoming greeting on arrival at the van, and his overview of the day… felt I’d made a good choice. It turned out to be a great choice! Neil’s pride of country & history was evident … he was not ‘just reading a script’. His tour felt personal, reflective, and passionate. Neil welcomed and responded to any and all questions pondered by the passengers. Despite 2 of our passengers having wandered awry at one stop, he handled it well & we were on our way! I’ve never been one to take a ‘guided tour’ in my many years of travel. I must say, I wouldn’t hesitate to take another tour of this size, especially with the level of experience & expertise of Neil. (1 do hope I’m spelling his name correctly)

We had a wonderful tour of the Highlands Neill our tour guide. I went with my granddaughter and her boyfriend and we enjoyed hearing all the information about t area from Neill. We got to see lots of place and had regular stops. Went on the tour or Loch Ness. We only had the one day, and w really pleased with how much we were abl see. We especially loved being able to pat Heiland Coos.

Neil’s stories, in character, made the trip so memorable! From Donnatir Castle to Balmoral to hiking to waterfalls, this is a must-do tour.

Neil made our experience so much fun! He was the sweetest and made a real effort to chat with everyone on the tour. On top of his shining personality, he was deeply knowledgeable about the area and all the history and stories behind it. Would definitely recommend!
Interesting tour with beautiful scenery and well chosen stops. Neil was an informative and entertaining guide who was extremely considerate to all under his care.
I had one of my BEST tours with Neill. He was very friendly and funny. As well he had plenty of information to tell us. The places we saw were amazing, just on the north coast of Scotland. We stopped in so many places during the day. It was great. I will repeat a tour again with them definitely 🙂
Neil was great. Just the right balance of information. No obvious canned patter which was nice. He made use of time well. Could not fault.
Neil was a phenomenal guide. The tour stops were perfect and his commentary was just enough—a good balance between quiet and narration. I would highly recommend this tour. Everyone in my party of five, ages 15 to 58, agreed.
Neil was great. Safe driver, friendly, knowledgeable about Scotland. The tour gave us plenty of opportunities to stop and explore and take pictures. We had a great time. Thank you!
Neil was such a fantastic guide on our trip from Aberdeen to Loch Ness. I’ve never been with a guide so knowledgable and enthusiastic. The trip was planned really well in a way that included so many fascinating stops without us being on the bus for too long in one stretch. The stories and info from Neil have inspired me to discover more about the history of Scotland.
Neil was a fantastic guide. Knowledge and story telling are superb and a very nice fellow. Thank you! Also- the tour was well paced with plenty of options for pit stops and food.
Tour was very good. Tour guide Neil made it great. He explains a lot of history around the tour and little known details.
Neil took us from Aberdeen around Stonehaven and the Royal Deeside, and the tour was fantastic despite the weather!
Ialltdsue aespite the weather! Wow, homes from the Neilithic peoples, plus the stoning stones and cairns! Even puffins and a hedgehog! Fantastic, every moment of it.

Nice family day trip. Some distance covered so you are in a mini bus for a good time. Guide (Neil) provided relevant historic context. If you are a history zealot it may be too thin for you. Did not get off tour feeling I had been spoken at all day. Good use of time. Saved time was spent on some extra content at start and end.
